Yes... That's what I heard from a friend of mine in the US.. No idea about it.

When was the T-Swiss Made- T implemented? I remember reading about it but the answer escapes me now.

Now to find a nice strap !

Sometimes it means Made in China or redialed. You can also see it on some Omega with serial 21# mil and up (168.004) but most of them have one T.

Oh.... I was under the impression that lumed hands and lumed plots should carry the °T-swiss made-T text.

Yours is from the mid 50's, so is pre tritium and has radium plots. As such there are no T's on the dial
