Hello all,
This watch has come up for sale locally. I have never seen a hooded omega on sale before in my part of the woods.
These are seller pics. To me other than the bracelet , it all looks legit.
Serial number dates it to 1952-54
The ask in my opinion is a bit high.. $1000 thereabouts.
Would love to know what your thoughts and advise is in this case.
Thanks!

I don't know enough about that movement to be sure, but otherwise everything looks good to me. Price not high IMO for a rarity like that. As you say, how many will you ever see? Somebody will buy it if you don't.

@Edward53,.... Yes you are right. I will be seeing this in person soon. Seller assures of perfect timekeeping.

Not connected to the current thread but I have heard of some fake hooded cases coming out of the Far East. Don't know how far that's accurate.

Congratulations, you bagged a great piece!
Gotta do justice to it by getting a period correct or at least authentic omega bracelet ! Or do you prefer a strap?

I think I will put it on a strap till I get a correct bracelet.
