One thing I have learned over the years, is that hiding things in plain sight and in places that most smash and grab thieves would often over look can be just as effective as a safe. While you are figuring things out , try to consider hiding places where people would fail to seek out. Dead spaces on top of cabinets, inside pockets of coats, air vents, in a childs room, etc. However, in a urban environment you cant beat out a safe deposit box.

Its probably better to use Dynabolts 😉

Just a hint to secure a safe to the wall or floor, use a thick 16-20mm and approx. 40cm long threaded stainless steel rod, and add two component vinylester expanding mass / glue in the hole. Will rip out sections of the wall before the bolt itself...

So how does it work - with this tool, they pry the safe away from the wall simply with leverage and ripping the self-expanding dowels (sorry, had to look up the translation to english, basically those plastic inserts that you fit the hole so the bolt threads into something)?

Just educating myself for a future possible carreer reconversion here 😁

You always have to bolt the safe to the wall studs and floor, not using toggle bolts or anchors in drywall.
