I'm referring to the original, oil-filled Ressence, by the way :-p
I guess that is the problem with all smaller brands. One of the reasons I am not the biggest fan of small independent in-house movements. Service ability in the future is questionable.
If they redesign the movement so that it too can work submersed in oil, and put a couple of screws in (kinda like a cars engine) for an oil change...
Take a watch that majors/relies on legibility and make it less legible. Genius.
It's a good marketing angle for watches, since they're no longer needed to tell the time, might as well ensure they hide it.
None of them have the movement in oil. Pretty sure it's impossible to have the movements in oil due to drag/friction.
I had to look up superdoc aka rjkama on instagram to find this post.

Not really sure I'm comprehending why superdoc would post such a thing. Seems pretty mean spirited. I'm no fan of the Ressence LE, and I agree Hodinkee is often not much more than a gab-rag, but, so what? And... this image? Really? Why? I think it's a pretty bizarre dig.
