·I'm continuing to sell some of my choice Omegas to the community after a massive accumulation. I'm still very passionate about Omega but have been collecting some other brands and focusing on watches I enjoy wearing rather than merely collecting for collecting's sake.
This is a beautiful oversize 1930's Omega with a 37.5mm case. This would make a spectacular dress watch, but is simple enough for daily wear. It was purchased from a seller in Eastern Europe many years ago. The glossy dial's golden foil numbers have a warm glow, what Mac_Omega has called a galvano-sandwich-style dial. I've seen the watch with both lumed and unlumed handsets--- this one containing hand lume that prints on my Geiger. The watch appears unpolished which is congruent with the condition of all other parts including what I believe is the original crown.
What is particularly special about the watch is that its serial number is in the first batch of Caliber 30 movements produced, "The 600," the first batch of what could be called Omega's most significant manual wind movement ever made. It's certainly my personal favorite Omega movement and I have no hesitation wearing these watches on a daily basis, it's a very robust movement.
There is a thread here with more information on the series: https://omegaforums.net/threads/omega-cal-30-and-serial-number.33455/
I will include Parcel Pro fully insured shipping at full asking price in the USA, surcharge for overseas sales.
Payment by wire or Wise. I have a longstanding presence here and many successful transactions, if you'd like to use PayPal protection I'd request the buyer pay the fees associated.
Watch is currently running nicely, service history unknown. My other photos turned out very blurry for some reason so I'll be adding some later today.
Questions are welcome.
Offers are welcome.
Thank you to the forum and the community.
