·Yes, I concur. An interesting picture taken on the way back to earth; communications carrier off (lower left), watch off, a bit of food and then a shave...

January 29, 1998 ... French spationaute Léopold Eyharts, a Jaguar fighter pilot/Wing Commander in l'Armée de L'Air, flew on his first spaceflight mission during Soyuz TM-27 to the Russian Mir space station... he wore two watches at that time.
But it wasn't until ten years later, during his second spaceflight mission onboard space shuttle Atlantis, that we got a decent look at his yellow dial wristwatch, a Breitling Chronospace with the 1998 CNES Pégase mission logo on the dial 👍
You know what the other wristwatch is... another familiar Swiss chronograph be it manual winding version...

·50 years ago... Omega & Rolex to the Moon onboard Apollo 14 Lunar Module "Antares"
Spaceflight aficionados know that on Apollo 14, the astronauts Mitchell and Roosa wore their personal Rolex GMT-master 1675 Pepsi pilot watch, besides their NASA-issued Omega Speedmaster chronograph. While their Omega Speedmaster was worn on a black velcro strap, both LMP Mitchell & CMP Roosa wore their Rolex GMT-master on a steel bracelet, an easy way to locate the watches in time-period photos.
The 1971 Apollo 14 was an interesting mission, which, after the Apollo 13 incident, got, a lot of interest...
MoonwatchUniverse dives deeper in the fun facts surrounding the Apollo 14 mission... such as astronauts' love for Rolex pilot watches, Lacoste shirts and the game of golf... even played on the Moon.
