A 19ASD from the crazy transition period of 1958 - 1960. Somebody else here is waiting to hear from a seller on an offer for something in even nicer shape with a more collectable feature.

Nope, date at 12. He'll post it if the seller accepts his offer.
Is it on ebay. If it is, I think I know which one.😉

Could you Longeniuses please give me an assessment of this?

It's in my backyard so I might just pay it a visit. My initial, layman's assessment would be: some faint spots on the dial, service crown, why is the date wheel stuck half-way if it's just been serviced, and what's with the hands? Also the price seems wacky high. Any hints on a fair-to-lowball offer would be welcomed.

Run away. Use your eBay-foo just like you would for Zenith and ask yourself "Why would it just have been serviced but there are no pictures of the inside of the watch?". It's a franken, and I suspect a redial too. The hands are not correct. I bet if the watch was opened we'd see even more monkey business.

Oh my Franken-sense (I know you like neorologisms, so I threw one in with a holiday flavor) was tingling hard. Thanks for the confirmation... I wasn't expecting redial too, though - I hate to see that kind of shiznit go down in my backyard. Shoulder the pitchforks! Torches alight!

Franken-sense

Nice one. 👍

Almost as if you have to go and write them a summons, right? 😜 Oh, and you actually can curse here, but doing it that way is good too. After all, it is Christmas Eve and you wouldn't want to ruin a year's worth of good behavior for one "shit" on an internet forum. The naughty listers have their moments but not now.

Shoulder the pitchforks! Torches alight!

Ahhhhh, that felt good.

I spent a few minutes looking at some of the other watches they offered. GROSSLY overpriced, many redials and only occasional pics of the movements even after the claims of being serviced as you noted.
