I am after some advice regarding servicing. I have a 1958 constellation 18k with a calibre 504 movement and contacted Swiss Time Services Ltd for an estimate of the service cost. They have responded with the following
"Unfortunately Omega watches with the 504 calibre movement are now categorised as a reserve calibre by Omega and cannot by repaired by a certified Omega service centres such as ourselves. Omega advise they must be returned to them for servicing as they are the only ones who have access to the genuine spare parts that will be required to service your watch."
Anyone have any recommendations as I am not sure I want to send it off to Omega unless I have to.
