Picture update:
I cant seem to get any good pictures with my phone, and the dial doesnt look right in the pictures. The inner circle is with a bit textured and matte white in real life.

@FullyWound
Thanks for the reassurance!

I dont know if its against regulations to ask about the value of something like this, but if its not and someone have a clue I would appriciate it 馃榾

Handsome watch, I like it. I think that it has been refinished. If you look at the logo the "O" is too oblong and some of the other letters are funky. If you look at the minute markers at 3, 6, 9, and 12 they all seem to have points at the corners. Plus the dial is much too even colored for a watch of this age. I am not an expert, just an interested observer.

The letters actually looks okay to me. I looks kind of funky in the pictures but scratches in the crystal are obscuring it a bit.
Im not sure what you are reffering to with the minute markers? Im learning something new every day 馃榾

I also noticed that the guarantee booklet is blank. Was that common in the 50s?
Nowadays you see it all the time but I cant imagine the "grey-market" was big in those days?

I'm pretty darn sure this has been redone. If you look at the markers that are bolder, the corners should be very neat, right angles. At least from the images they look elongated. Also from a reproduced image it is difficult to tell, but you can... look at the spacing and consistency between the minute markers. If you find random ones that are longer than the rest or the spacing is off, this is a dead giveaway.
