Help! What reference is this 1967 Seamaster?

Thought I'd offer this up to the experts. I am wondering if this is a Seamaster Ref. 165.020 or a 166.020? It came out of a safe deposit box. Also, is this possibly an unmarked De Ville? I do not have a way of getting the back off safely, but I know the forum is very helpful in these matters. I believe the dial furniture is gold plated, since I do not see a sigma indication. Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Cheers!

Have a watchmaker open the case and it should state the reference on the inner caseback.

Certainly not a 165.020 but I’m not sure what ref it is.

Nor a 166.020 since it is a no date model. That said, it’s a nice looking watch

It came from a safe deposit box. It has been serviced. I think the watchmaker got some images. The previous owner said he got it in 1967 as a graduation gift, but rarely wore it. Thanks for the comments. Cheers!

It came from a safe deposit box.

The safe deposit box connection seems to be important, but I can't figure out why.

Just a way of saying I’m the second owner since 1967. That’s all.

Thanks for explaining, I would not have made that connection.

If it's a 67 model it wouldn't have sigma marks, I think they came in early 1970s.

Mine came from my watch fixer guy. I'm sure he kept his in a safe deposit box as well.

Thanks for all of the input. I've done some more sleuthing and found out it is a ref. 165.005, powered by an Omega caliber 591, 20 jewel movement. Serial # is 17945814.
