    Hi,

I'm became as present the watch of my grandfather from my grandmother. It is an original Omega and i guss it is from the late 80's but I dont know what model it is. Anfourtunatly is is not working and i have no idea why. I dont know if it is just the battery or something else. As I dont know the model, i can't look for a manual etc... I will definetly make a service by a professional but i would like to know first what model it is and if it is at least automatic or mechnical.

    Thx a lot!

    It’s solid gold.

I’d wager it’s a quartz piece. But if you open the back carefull not to scratch it, the model number is on the inner caseback and you can clearly see the movement.

Thank for the quick answer. Here a picture of the back. There is nothing written on it. Opening the watch is out of question for me. I have no tools and, as you sad, it is solid gold.

Take it to a watchmaker and they will help you get it sorted. That snap back case is not something to try and open yourself.
