Hi Chaps.

Didn't realise this existed until I just googled looking for assistance on a watch I'm looking at on Ebay!

Can anyone advise on whether this looks genuine? The owner has advised this is a 166.0203 but I was wondering if a 166.003 was anything different?

Greatly appreciate any advice / anything I should heed etc!

Thank you!

Yes, a 166.003 is very different. Here’s one that I used to own:

Thank you chaps, massively appreciate the quick responses. Anything suspicious at all based on what you can see?

Difficult from one slightly over exposed photo but just one thing nagging at the back of my mind and that's a silver dial and furniture in a gold/plated case??. A little incongruous to me but I am no expert on this model. I would want to compare and see other examples the same via Google before I bid.

Here is what lies behind the case. I can't immediately find much reference to a 166.0203 which is interesting as I think that's what's engraved?
I think Gav your silver furniture comment is really insightful. and some of the lettering on the dial does look rather bold which has my spidey sense tingling based on FallOut Boys helpful post. Thank you all so much, I've only just become an Omega owner (modern day DeVille) and I'll be a regular follower from this point!

I only have 165.003s (no date unlike 166.003) but that apart, there are similarities. The 166.003 has a 565 movement, the 166.003 a 552 movement.

Both models have semi-recessed crowns and dauphine hands unlike the 002 model.

They also have a distinctive profile
