Hello Dear Group Members,

My father texted me a month ago that he found an Omega watch which belonged to my grandfather so I asked him to send some pictures and lo and behold, it turned out to be an Omega seamster 300 14755-61. Since I live in Canada and he lives abroad, I asked him to bring the watch with him while visiting me.
So i noticed three things that needed to be taken care of to revive this historical watch.
1. Bezel Insert: Of course, per usual with these watches the bezel insert needed a complete restoration as nothing was left of it so I sent it to McGyver for restoration.
2. Crown: When my father gave me the watch, I checked the crown and found out that it was not an original omega piece
3. Bracelet: I already knew that the bracelet was not a 7077 nor a 7912. It was some aftermarket cheap bracelet.

The help I need dear forum members lies in points 2 and 3 since point 1 has already been covered thanks to the previous posts on the restoration of the bezel insert on this forum.

2. Crown: After some research (on this forum) I found out that the crown measurements are 6,7 mm. X 3,3 mm with model number 069ST42028.

My first question is: Is that the correct serial number of the part that I would need to buy? Does anyone know where I can find it? I am willing to pay more for an original piece but If I cannot find it then will I have to settle for a replacement non-original part? ( I have no real issues with that)
The only one i found on ebay is this one and I think it is not in good condition at all so I am sceptical about it: https://ebay.us/m/uBD3KH

My second question would be regarding the bracelet: I know that the original bracelet is the 7077 with end 6 links as well as the 7912 that works as well however i find these bracelets a bit out of my budget after my expenses on the bezel restoration and the crown replacement.
Therefore my second and many questions regarding the bracelet are:
a- Do the end links have to absolutely be # 6?
b- Can I buy a 1125 bracelet (cheapest option) and fit it with #6 end links? I like the bracelet but not sure how it would look on the semaster 300
c- Can I buy a 1175 bracelet (a bit more expensive option) and fit it with #6 end links?
d- I found this bracelet 1067 (link beside) which already comes with #6 end links from Japan (barely fits my budget), is it worth it? https://ebay.us/m/xgXFrE

I am going to Japan in October, should I just take the watch with me and try to find an omega bracelet in Japan which might be a cheaper option and I will be able to see what I buy and what it looks like instead of "blindly" ordering online to get a bracelet that I might not like as a fit?

I apologize that my 2 questions might have turned into many 😀, I would really appreciate your help on this. Thank you very much in advance to you all.

I have correct original vintage crowns for these with the flat foot Omega logo. Send me a PM and we can discuss further.

#6 Endlinks are in the same ballpark as the bracelet. I’d either pony up for a genuine bracelet plus 6’s or just get a Forstner replica, or leather strap. No point in half measures imo.

Great watch and story though.

Hmm, well it’s not as good as it first seems.

1. The 1067 was for 18mm and some 19mm lugs such as the seamaster 120. I’m fairly certain it wasn’t a factory option for a seamaster 300.

2. I’m looking on my phone but I have concerns about the 6 Endlinks.
