Good score. I always say that you are kidding yourself if you go looking for an all original black dial 50s or 60s Omega as until you have reached the Nirvana of 10th Dan Omega knowledge as it is just too risky, but here is the unicorn, the one in 50 that is actually straight.

·These waffle dials are always hard because the printing is never as fine. That said, the loopy bottom of the "S" looks a little funny to me and the completely missing lume (with no damage) is also a flag. Also very unusual not to have any indication of where the rehaut/crystal-ring has been contacting the dial for 70 years. So I'm going with re-dial, but an attractive one.

··Oooo subtitles!I'm not convinced it is. The minute track is a little variable but as already noted, printing onto the waffle does make for a more variable finish. If the SM text worries anyone, here is my all original (obviously non waffle) 2846 text for comparison. Granted the e cross bar is wider but I see no significant difference otherwise:
