The rarerer and the most sought after are the black dials, uncommon color cobinations of the keyhole ones, your are nice but not one of the most sought after

Not rare but unusual as is mine with roman numbers.

I confirm that the watch is completely original.

How do you feel about the dial? I don't remember seeing this variant before, have you?

Hi I read your replies you seemed very knowledgeable with Omega vintage, I was wondering if you can help to advise if this watch is original and worth 900 euros? Thanks for helping.

Dial is probably all original as well, but not born in this reference

Yes, it is original, but crown is not correct.
Thanks very much for sharing your views Peter. Just one more question please, now with some non-original parts, is this watch worth 900 euros?

Agree to the above. If it says 2400-x (or 2425 if center second) it is a Suveran. A 2400-1 should have rodium plated movement (silver colored).

Thanks MOL for your advice. Can you explain the silver colour movement if you don’t mind? Do you have a picture to share, sorry I am a newbie but I tried to do research and saw a few other watches with 2400-1 reference on Chrono24 having this non silver plated movement as well ie see attached pic. Is this what you are referring?

No, in my opinion it is not Worth 900 Euros, the dial is not for this watch and the Crown is not correct.

I would say this is silver even if the pic is a bit ”pink”, especially starting with 9mill - swap from rhodium to copper was in 10mill series to my understanding, for ref 2400 I have seen rhodium on 2400-1, 2400-2, at -4/5/6 it is copper (my observations)

I wonder about that, and which ref the dial is for?

In my opinion the dial is stunning and genuine. There are a lots of different dial versions belonging to the sub references. Here is my 2400-1.

And here is another one...

Thanks Peter, then in your view, which is the correct reference for this dial, could it just be a case back issue as well?

Thanks for sharing, this is fantastic. How’s your movement look like, is it rhodium plating too?

Hi, and no it´s not. But there are Suveräns with plated movements as well (with correct serial number, years). I do not know if those are replacements. Regarding the Suverän Dials, there are as mentioned plenty of different versions. You might have read this thread? https://omegaforums.net/threads/omega-officer-and-suverän.15962/

For final prices search ebay and the Swedish auction site "Tradera". As always condition of the dial is the signifikant factor for the value. Of course there are some exceptions, very rare pieces and watches with a unique provenance...

In the long run it´s my opinion that watches in fine condition and with fine dials will keep it´s value and mediocre watches will not.
