Thank you so much for your time! I appreciate it a lot.
For me, the identity of the watch is so important. I don’t mind what it is, as long as i know what it is.
Kind of ocd... self diagnosed though, not clinically proven lol.

I have a paper that came along with it. It says the work number is 10028421 ref.2400-1 caliber 30t2pc.

In regards to the extract of the archives.. it costs 120 swissfrancs... damn expensive!

That is within the range of Suveräns, I believe.

It's a 70+ year old watch, so don't feel to anxious about not knowing the entire history of the watch; for all we know the dial, hands etc. could have been swapped at some point 😉

Could it be a 2383 with a fake case back?????

Why would anyone fake such a part and then sell the watch at the price you got it for? That would make zero sense.

Relaaaaaaax.

Of course, YOU could have faked it, use this thread as evidence of it's provenance and then try to sell it on for a premium...

I don’t want to sell the watch at all. In fact, i spent money buying a new strap for it.
I have a suspicious feeling that the seller isn’t being completely honest with me that is all..

I am trying to find the identity of my watch. No need to accuse me of faking anything.

@patinalife calm @ConElPueblo is joking😉
It’s a nice watch, you got it for a good price.....wear it and enjoy it. Why worry? (That’s a rhetorical question)

Thanks guys. I will try to relax.

Can I ask one last question?

A dealer is selling a similar example for almost 2000 us dollars.

Is this a normal occurrence?

You have to do your own research, the prices is at local auctions and watch forums i Sweden. They were sold in large number i the 1940's. People think there are rare, they are not....

There is one up for auction here at Bukowskis, but they can go high because of international buyers:

It is all original Suverän, with the non Suverän marked caseback. Correct dial and hands for a Suverän.

The prices differe a lot depending on the dial and condition, many are asking insane prices, does not mean they get them!

is my example a rarer dial by any chance? it seems like they aren't so common...
