Offered? You may need to elaborate. Can't believe someone would own this and not know it's value. Obviously missing a bezel insert. From my very limited knowledge, I don't believe these can be replaced, you have to go with a replacement bezel. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Is it typical for the saleroom to not publish selling results?

Sometimes the auctioneer decides to hide the hammer value and the saleroom doesn't publish it... this was one of those cases

Actually that's not the case, the watch did not reach its reserve price, and as it my friends auction house I was offered it afterwards, so getting back to the original question does it look all ok, the bezel insert is not missing, the paint has worn away.

Not paint, the original Bakelite inlay has been completely destroyed. This is common, but obviously affects the value. Regarding the rest of the watch, you need to do a lot of research. This is not a watch for a beginner IMO, the value could swing wildly depending on the originality of various parts. If it's put together from parts, then one of the real experts may point it out to you in this thread ... or maybe they won't bother. If the watch is good, then they will probably contact the auction house and grab it. If they don't grab it, then there is probably something wrong with it, but they don't feel like responding to your thread. So you can see why it's not easy to buy one of these without first-hand knowledge.
