I admire your stoicism 👍

You win some and you lose some. I did also pick up a black dialed constellation from the same person.

This gold colored one is a 167.005 with 551 movement.

The black dialed one is a 14902 61 SC with a 561 movement.

I do have some spare dials somewhere. Have to go dig them up.

Had this arabic dial laying around so I'll probably fit it on the watch
Doesn’t this make it into a Frankenwatch?

Yes, find a faceted dauphine hand set and that watch becomes original again.

Then it will look like this

I am particularly fond of these full-arabic Connie dials and hope to have one, one day - Unfortunately, I've just never found one in a watch I wanted to buy.

Interesting that you both have the 'flat, cut-out' style arabic dials rather than the faceted numerals version.

How did you have this dial lying around @robocaspar ?
They're not exactly common or garden variations.

I don't think there is anything wrong with transplanting a Connie dial into a Connie case for your own enjoyment - it would be technically correct but not original (to that particular watch) so it would only be right to declare it as such if it were ever to be sold.

That puts what I meant far better than I did.

It was part of a lot I purchased from a gentleman who happened to be a retired workshop manager for Omega.
