    Hello
I’m new to his forum and looking for any help or advice. Could anyone shed some light ?

I recently stumbled upon it while sorting some stuff and now wondering what it really is other than in desperate need of repair or restoration- if even worth the trouble and expense...
The crystal is cracked and loose as well as the movement.Amazingly as it may seem it’still ticks given it a few shakes.. No idea as to the model, vintage, movement or it’s value!
I’ve seen many examples of period constellations online but have yet to see one with numerals all around the dial. Could it have been redialled, limited model , special order, frankened?
I have imited at best or no horological knowledge, here are a few pics( sorry not the greatest!) Any information would be greatly appreciated!

    Many thanks

    Welcome @amilioto
The Brits liked Connies with full Arabic numerals
But a pie pan like this is very unusual.
There was another thread a little while back about one.
You could try searching for it to see what was said then.

    If it’s correct.
I can’t remember if the discussion came to a definitive conclusion.

mmm. any idea of model year / movement?
I would not attempt to open the case myself but will do so professionally soon enough.

The dial doesnt look like it actually fits this case size to me, unless its missing a retaining ring?

Seems to large gaps at between dial and case

The movement is quite loose in the case so it’s quite possible a retaining ring is missing. The whole dial/movement could literally fall out of the case.

this is the thread I was referring to
    https://omegaforums.net/threads/omega-seamaster-and-constellation-dials.72001/#post-908053
-as I thought, no conclusion reached

yours is (I think) only the second dial like this to show up on OF

the model will be a 14900 or 167.005 with a cal 551 inside - you'll need to open it up to be sure and date it more accurately

as to value, difficult to say, not a great deal -a few hundred £s perhaps?
the watch and dial aren't in particular good condition I'm afraid - gold cap., soft case, worn medallion and replacement crown

worth restoring - definitely if you are going to wear it
a service, gently cleaning, new crystal and new crown (assuming no movt parts you're looking at around £300) and you'll have a very unusual and wearable watch.

    hope that helps

response from Desmond in alternative thread

"It’s a pie pan version of the Arabic numeral dial. Not too many of these around, but it was an available option in some markets.
Have the watch cleaned and oiled, add a new crown and case back gasket and polish the crystal, but don’t touch the dial.
    Cheers
    Desmond"

@amilioto - it would be a service to the forum if you could you change this thread title to something like
    "full arabic numeral pie-pan constellation"
it means the thread could be found by later searches

    edit to tag Desmond
