I personally prefer the Polerouter but it's a more casual, versatile watch. If you're considering a dress watch, you should look indeed look for another and the IWC fits the bill. The Polerouter is just more exciting in my eyes. The dial patina is a bit heavy but look at those lugs 🥰

Thanks all for the input! Looking for a new home for the Polerouter now and will be making an offer on the IWC. I feel like the design of the IWC really speaks to me more than the Polerouter and really is timeless! Wish I could keep both, though!

I think you’ve made the right choice. You want a dressier watch and the IWC really fits the bill. A better Polerouter is a goal for another day and, whilst the Polerouter can be dressed up well, it is versatile and a good clean example will serve you well in many situations.
