This will be my first and hopefully last omega. The only decent watch I currently have is the navitimer b1 and I’m hoping to get a submariner at some point. 3 piece collection should cover all the bases for me.
I picked the navitimer over moonwatch since I couldn’t get my head around manual wind watch. I wasn’t crazy about the hesalite either.
I really like the look of the new 44mm speedy racing but they may be a tad too larger for my 6” wrist.
The 40mm racing models are almost half the price but haven’t seen one up close.
Aqua Terra has always been a favorite of mine. They can be dressed up or down.
If you had the choice which one would you pick?

If the AT has always been a favourite of yours then I'd recommend you went for one of those. They are really lovely watches! As you say it can be dressed up or down and besides, you already own a chronograph. A three watch collection comprised of a Navitimer, an AT, and a Submariner sounds pretty sweet to me.

Does AT have different shades of blue? Are some more desirable than others? which one is sky fall? I see 4 reference numbers all listed as blue.
    220.10.41.21.03.002
    220.10.41.21.03.001
    220.10.38.20.03.001
    220.10.41.21.03.004

There are several iterations. The blue is similar but the size of the watch may change, as well as the direction or the "deck"" lines and the date window etc.

I think the Sky Fall version is 231.10.39.21.03.001 which is a 38.5 mm blue with vertical lines and date window at 3. Versus the modern 41 mm date window at 6 horizontal lines. I believe it is discontinued

Mine is the larger version of the sky fall, Same overall attributes but 41 mm. Also discontinued. I think it's 220.10.41.21.03.004

if your plans are to get a Sub down the line, then the AT is the better option to complete the 3 pc set.

If I were in your shoes, I'd go for the AT. For a three watch collection a chronograph, a divers and a "go anywhere do anything watch" like the AT will pretty much cover all your bases. It then becomes a matter of "which AT do I go for"? You need to do your research as over the years there's been different combinations of dial colours, dial patterns, case sizes and movements.

AquaTerra. But that said, WE can't make this decision for you. It's YOUR watch.

But you did outline a great reason to get one- it's a watch that can literally do anything and work with any occasion. And there are tons of variations.

AT it is! Now I need to decide which model. I like the blue dial the most but there are many option in blue dial too. I’m leaning toward the 42mm ref 220.10.41.21.03.001 or 220.10.41.21.03.004.

004, more classy I think, the extra shade of blue in the 001 makes it more sporty in my opinion. So considering you have a Navi & Sub, I would go with the 004 to have something more dressy.

I was trying to figure out how the alternating blue/white on the 001 came across vs the white on the 004, and I think you're right. definitely looks more dressy.

Do you mean in terms of trend/hype? FWIW, I wouldn’t make that a consideration in buying a watch—just get what you like (and no one else can tell you what should desire) since you’re the one who has to wear it.

I think you’ve got the makings of a terrific collection: a historic chrono with a sweet design; a go-anywhere daily (any blue AT you like), and then a diver. IMO, a vintage Sub 16610 or 14060 is far preferable to a new one, but not everyone will agree.

If I were building this collection (just my taste, wanting to avoid the Rolex sub hype attention), I’d swap the diver/everyday brands and get an Omega Seamaster diver (I like 300 heritage models but the professionals are great too) and then do an Oyster Perpetual for the everyday.

The Omega Speedmaster Racing watches come in a 40mm and 44.25mm case size. The 40mm case size may be more suitable for your wrist size, and it is a more affordable option. The 44.25mm case size may be too large for your wrist and may not fit comfortably. However, it's worth noting that some people with smaller wrists can still pull off larger watches, so it's a matter of personal preference.

The Aqua Terra can be dressed up or down. It's available in a range of sizes and dial colors, so you can find one that suits your style and wrist size. The 38mm and 41mm case sizes are most common, and they should fit comfortably on a 6" wrist.

For some reasons OP never appealed to me. Now if Rolex releases 40mm explorer 1 I’d probably pick that for everyday wear and swap AT with seamaster diver.

There is a 39 mm explorer. I have one. Great watch. 39 mm without a divers bezel wears beautifully.

The 44mm racing it’s perfect on my 16,5 cm wrist.
Go and try one on yours, there’s no other way to judge.

The Speedmaster Racing is perfect on my 6'' wrist and may be the most comfortable Speedy of all my Speedies
