Possibly bought in 80s or earlier, either in Spain or UK...

Looks like an 80’s gold plated DeVille. What other info are you looking for?

Your best way of finding a value (for sale rather than for insurance ) is to go on eBay and look at the ‘sold’ listings.

I am going to get it serviced, see if it starts... Things to look out for at jewellers?

Go to a proper jewellers, not the battery guy in the mall. That said, all you should need is a change of battery.
While the case is open, photograph the movement and the inside of the caseback. This should give you all the information you need.
Buy a soft impregnated jewellers cloth to gently rub away any tarnish on the case.

Thank you, there's an authorised Omega jeweller's close to me, might even be where it was purchased!

Are you looking to keep this and wear it or sell it?

If you’re keeping it then certainly a service/battery change is a good idea. If you’re selling, weigh the costs of any work against the likely sale price.

Re the example you’ve found at 250. It looks slightly larger than yours which makes it slightly more desirable. Don’t forget that a dealer will ask significantly more than you’ll achieve in a private sale and ultimately people can ask whatever they wish but it’s the sell price that’s important.

There’s a large number of similar watches on eBay that sold between £25-80
