Help Identifying Authenticated 70s or 80s De Ville

Hello,

First time post here as I am a first time Omega owner!

I purchased this De Ville via an online watch dealer whose dealer said it is authentic, and I also got it authenticated. The dealer said it is likely late 70s or early 80s but that's all the info I have. Unfortunately when I got it authenticated I was too excited to write down or take a picture of the inside or the serial which I may eventually do. I believe he said the movement had 711 on it.

That being said, I am looking for any identification, dating, model number, and ballpark evaluation for this piece to get a better picture of what I bought.

Thank you!

Get on to Amazon, buy one of these, open the caseback carefully, photograph the inside of the caseback, the movement any numbers on the movement, close and screw up the caseback carefully, come back and post the photos or …. using the information you now have, do some research and then come back here 😀

Information from the inside of the watch will tell you everything you need to know. For real valuation, you might like at actual sales of similar watches in eBay or the forum classifieds. I don't have any concerns about the watch at first glance.

Hi again,

Took your advice and opened it up myself, pics below. One thing - I now notice a tiny gap between the back and the rest of the watch, and it doesn't seem there was a gasket. Would it be smart to buy and add in a gasket? Or is it ok on this type of watch?

I think it has a gasket fitted.

Your watch was originally specified with 30 metres water resistance, so a pressure test will tell you if you need to get new seals or not.
It may no longer meet 30 metres, but it should provide some protection if correct seals are properly fitted.
