Hi all, I have purchased this watch but having a hard time finding any information on it. I need to replace the crystal and since the reference PX-6284 does not show up any searches or my Omega files I am hoping someone here can help. I have attached picture of the case back and the movement ( cal. 420). Thank you in advance for any information.

Nice one. A couple of things from your photos that should help the search:

  1. The case back reads PY-6284, not PX. Worth searching that way too.
  2. The movement is spelled out “Seventeen Jewels” and “Unadjusted”, and there’s a small code stamped near the balance. Markings like these usually show up on Omegas imported into the US and cased there. That would explain why the case number doesn’t appear in the Swiss Omega references or your files. The movement is Omega (cal. 420); the case may not be an Omega factory case.
  3. If it’s a US case, the factory crystal list probably won’t help you. The usual route is to measure: take the old crystal out (or measure the bezel opening) with calipers to a tenth of a millimetre, note the height and dome shape, and order a generic acrylic crystal in that size. A watchmaker with a crystal set can match it in minutes.
