there is an inscription on the back which dates 1980 so that sounds correct..I will get more pics when it arrives I know its nothing special, but my first time buying an omega!
Should be a very presentable wearer once buffed up, assuming all is working well. You may find the life expectancy of batteries in these is not great compared to modern quartzes, but it should serve you well as an entry to the world of Omega. Just be warned - it’s a slippery slope from here!
I received the watch today and to my surprise it has a cal 1370 movement. It needs a new battery does anyone know the correct procedure for replacing it??
That's unexpected.
Nothing special for the battery change, unscrew, remove, replace, screw back!
Cool!..my smallest screwdriver wouldn't seat on the screw so now I have a watchmaker's set on the way from ebay to start doing minor repairs and battery changes requiring screws to be removed!!
Looks nicely presentable on the wrist - a good result! These quartz Omegas aren’t particularly valuable (they are not fancied by collectors at present and lack the mechanical mystique of Omega’s golden age (c.1950-1970)). I’m no expert on value, but I wouldn’t pay more than $100 for a decent working example.
But it’s a nice looking piece and you should wear it in good health!
