Hello, hoping you can help me nail down date and model. It’s 14ct and I believe it’s early 40s late 30s.

yes, it’s quite small. But appropriate in size for that age. It’s a man’s watch for aure

Please show some photos from other angles including the back and inside, movement caliber and serial number, etc. The dial isn't helpful since it has been repainted. It's quite possible that it won't have a reference number and may even be in a locally made case.

Small size might house an R17.8 SC, I can see the seconds post but it looks short, perhaps broken off, hence the missing seconds hand.

Mine has a refinished dial as well, although different from OPs.

An American market watch, ca 1945, there were rarely Swiss analogues to these.
