A few hours ago I was sitting in the Hotel Bahia bar in Cascais, Portugal while my daughter and girlfriend went to the beach. After awhile a guy in his 50's walks by wearing a Tiffany blue dialed Daytona. I am not the greatest at identifying watches in the wild, but this was unmistakable and I got a good long stare at it while he talked with the hostess. I wanted to go ask him about it but knew that'd be a bad idea. Plus, I didn't think he'd be impressed with my Oris.

Crime happens but it probably gets too much press.

(I told my daughter that the guy walking by us had a 50k watch. I may have been off by about half I think.)

Is it safe to say hello in london?
Only if you’re a uniformed copper, wearing a big blue tit on your head and you say it three times, followed by: “what’s all this then?” In a cockney accent.

🍿😲😁
The food is great, but everything else about Europe sucks.
You know how they say the definition of “ambivalence” is your mother-in-law driving over a cliff in your new Mercedes? I don’t know whether to feel heartened or disgusted that not just America is going to shit…

An Omega is fine anywhere. The poors only seem to know Rolex.

I'll have you know that my wife says this watch is a "conversation piece." 😎
She clearly has been well schooled 😁

Saw jets from Portugal and England fly over Lisbon today in celebration of the 650th year anniversary of the Treaty of London, which started trade between the two countries. Oldest trade agreement still in use.

Yah, Europe, nothing special here.

Spent a couple of days in Naples in October last year wearing my Speedmaster, I never felt nervous, didn't even consider it a risk to be honest, stayed in the main areas though, didn't venture too far off the beaten track. As long as you are reasonably street smart you should be fine
Been to Naples just this weekend and was wearing my zenith a385.
On Friday evening the waiter in a resto (and it was not even the one for our table) chatted me and told me how nice my zenith revival is and that his father also has it. Even though it's the model from 1970s I was very surprised someone noticed a watch like this as it's really rare "in the wild" someone even knows zenith.
In addition I felt safe the whole time and nothing to worry. So for short trips without plane I would consider taking one nice watch - still little bit hesitant on more than one as I wouldn't have control over it whole time.

Not debatable. Europe sucks. Everybody stay away. Especially Amsterdam!
