I won't have them for 3-4 days. One was made by an Australian knife maker who used to be a chef; I am buying this from the original purchaser here in the US. Another is from a maker in the US who has been out of forging/ knifemaking for a couple of years due to injury, and is just starting to get back into things by finishing up some partially completed knives that were scattered around the shop.

After buying three for myself and two for my wife (including a Rolex for each) last year, I decided that I needed to take a break from purchasing for a few years. SARS-Cov-2 did nothing to change that opinion. I am continuing to purchase watchmaking equipment as I see the need tho.

The good news for me is that one of my son's graduation presents, a Randall Made "Hunter" knife that I ordered new in 2016, arrived just before the lockdowns, and to sooth his nerves from trying to graduate in May while doing his capstone remotely I gave it to him early.

[edit - no, he won't hurt himself with it]

Cool, can you PM the links to me. Both sound interesting

My income is not in peril due to the current times. Unfortunately for my wallet my watch itch has come back 10 fold and I've been pulling the trigger much much more than if I didn't have this much time on my hands.

After seeing what was going on over on The Bay I listed a couple items (high end pocket watch cases) at pretty high prices, both bought w/in 24hrs for more than I thought they would bring. There are bored buyers out there for sure.
Now my PayPal is ready for a Speedy purchase! Woohoo!

Hrmmm... Maybe it's time to restock my eBay store and try to fund a purchase with resales.
