thanks for all of the replies. Just to confirm, is this a Hirsch oil can strap, or a Hadley Roma strap?

I am looking for something that has a similar look to the factory strap, so some of the unique custom straps won't work for me.

Again, thanks for all of the suggestions.

If that's what you're looking for then Jean Rousseau is your best bet as they are the OEM for the FOIS strap (and most, if not all Omega straps actually). In fact I believe they have the exact strap on their website: http://www.jean-rousseau.com/en/eshop/us/watch-strap/bracelet-sport-55-1/7/7

Unfortunately it doesn't come stock in 19/16 mm but they can make any strap bespoke and you can customize every detail.

I'm having a tough time finding what I'm looking for. I want a black nylon style strap (non-NATO style) similar to the one found on the dark side of the moon watch. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Those are the Omega cordura straps. There are options available for color, lining, stitching and fit combinations. You can either go with the Omega branded ones that are matched to specific watches, or as mentioned above go straight to the OEM manufacture, Jean Rousseau, and have one custom made for less than the AD or OB price.

Thanks so much for all the helpful responses. I already went the ebay and amazon route and I couldn't find what I was looking for. I was hoping I wouldn't have to go bespoke, but that looks like the best option at this point. I just sent Jean Rousseau an email. Thanks again!

Thanks again for all of the replies. After spending some time online, I ended up ordering a Rios1931 shell cordovan strap in the cognac color. It came in a 19mm x 16mm so the factory omega tang buckle should fit perfectly. I'm not sure if it's going to be much thicker at the lug ends than the stock strap, but it's a calculated risk that I was willing to take.

The Pensa only tapers to 18mm for a 20mm strap. The OP was looking for 16mm at the buckle end.

As @MaiLollo suggested B&S, B&L, Hodinkee or JPM all have straps that taper 3-4mm depending on lug width. Also they are all buttery soft leather, just as if not more comfortable that what you're currently using.

Also would suggest contacting a few custom strap makers, including those on this forum like @jankoxxx. They can pretty easily make straps that will work with your requirements and preferences.
All great suggestions. I will also add Crown and Buckle “black label” collection, Veblenist, and Molequin

Hi James,
I also looking at the same strap as you! Did the Rios 1931 for ok? How about the color? Cognac was ok?

I've got an FOIS and the factory strap is still in great shape, but I'm starting to look for some aftermarket options. Buying a replacement factory Omega strap is not an option as they are over $300 for the strap alone in Canada.

I'm specifically looking for a 19mm x 16mm strap. I know that 20mm straps will "squish" in between the lugs, but most 20mm straps have 18mm buckles, and I prefer more of a taper.

Has anyone found any nice aftermarket straps? The Rios1931 New York Shell Cordovan straps look interesting, but I'm not sure if they are too thick and padded at the lug end (I can't find any good pictures and prefer the subtle padding on the factory strap).

Thanks
james

I would suggest getting in touch with Reef from wristwatchme. He’s done a couple of custom straps for me and his work is top quality. Very nice guy to deal with and he’s up here in Canada. Makes shipping a little easier. I think his straps are on par with Hodinkee and Jean Rousseau at a fraction of the price.

Hope this helps.
