Has anyone ever seen this icon on a Corum Face?

I have a Corum. it is a 23 Jewel ETA 2451 with a ref# 7446720.1. I have been in communication with the folks at Corum and they have dated the watch to 1963, but that's about it. On the face of the watch is a little applied icon of an ellipse with two points circling each other. The people at Corum couldn't tell me anything about it, and I can't find anything online that shows this design, so I thought I would reach out to the forum and see if anyone knew anything or had seen the icon before. Anyone?
