Hands-On With The White-Dial Omega Speedmaster “Daniel Craig”

Just left the Regent Street AD for a first look at the watch. Great looking in the flesh and appears smaller on the wrist than my other speedmasters. Will get one at some point but no rush.
As a small aside my head was turned and tried on the Seamaster Boutique London edition. The most amazing blue dial. So much better in the flesh than photographs

Look at the first image of this thread. They're not black, they're just a very dark gray. Like the Grey Side of the Moon.

I believe the white dial Seamaster 300MP has the same type of hands. They look dark black 99%

There's something quite astonishing in this photo... look at how the markers "float" above the lacquered dial. I'm not sure I've seen anything quite like it.

There's something quite astonishing in this photo... look at how the markers "float" above the lacquered dial. I'm not sure I've seen anything quite like it.

It may be that the markers are applied over a clear layer of lacquer that causes that effect.. very cool, should create some interesting Shadow effects.

Are these photos computer renderings?
I don't believe so, that image came from one of the Articles posted here, I just increased the size to call attention to how the hands look black and simultaneously gray in the same image based upon the angle of the light.

I'd love a Snoopy without th Snoopy. Keep the lovely blue, remove that dog. One day, hopefully...
That's been done, the CK 2998 blue edition.

I have been “invited to join the waitlist” at my OB (SF) so at least here, at least for now, it is not a regular available piece. And yes, they want full payment to be on the list.

I stopped by the SF OB today to take a look at the white dial Speedmaster. They had one that you could look at but not try on. 🙄

The white step dial with black indices is gorgeous. It would have been nicer Omega had used enamel or ZrO2 instead but I don't think either have been used for step dials.

Overall, this watch checks a few boxes that I don't currently have on a Speedy Pro; a white dial, a 3861 movement, sapphire crystal and a transparent caseback.

If the OB had one for sale, I would have purchased it on the spot. Putting down a full deposit for a watch that will eventually be readily available doesn't make a lot of sense to me especially since the OB 15 miles south is only asking for a $1,000 deposit.

Yeah, doesn't make sense. But if you purchase now in full then inflation will allow you to have a bit of a discount.

Gorgeous release, and "cheaper" than I expected.
Omega has finally returned to Planet Earth with this new Moon watch.
Will this mean the end of Snoopy 50th in April?

That's been done, the CK 2998 blue edition.
Thanks for bringing my attention to this model. It certainly looks pretty, although not styled the same as the blue snoopy.
