The Sky dweller , while interesting, is a LOVE or HATE kind of watch. Rolex has some classics, but this one is pale next to the Day-Date.
Beautiful. It's really an interesting watch... red square indicating the month, yours is at 9, thus September, and you can use to tell time in two different time zones. I can't think of another movement that incorporates the sliding of the bezel to set the watch... cool
For a company that takes few chances on design, I always thought they took a swing for the fences with this one and scored.
Over time I've learned that in a way, watches can be like paintings: I can love looking at a piece w/o needing it on my own metaphorical wall. This piece falls into that category for me, but congrats on a beautiful new piece, @leefowler wear and enjoy in good health!
Waouh effect Can't help staring at this dial... Don't forget your sunglasses! It's dangerous for naked eyes!
You hear so much about interminable wait lists you forget that these things do actually ship and go home with customers some times. I always pictured them going to some mythical caste of hyper professionals who are too busy collecting trophy wives to hang out on geeky watch forums. Refreshing to know that those people who get the call are real. Congrats!
Said it before and I’ll say it again: you can’t appreciate this watch until you fiddle with one. The command ring is a mechanical experience unlike any other watch, much less any other Rolex. Not an easier calendar watch made.
