This thread is much appreciated. While I loved the advance to the moon as a kid in the '60s I actually admire the Speedmaster's racing heritage most of all.

Great stuff. There’s also some good articles and a few photos of Willy Mairesse racing for Ferrari with Speedmaster.

They are a very cool set of pics. Thanks for that.

I saw the pic of the chap with the Speedie talking to Jochen Rindt, who was also famous for wearing the lovely Heuer Autavia chrono, another creditable motorsport time piece.

Here's a favourite of mine, if only for the expressions on the faces!
Ferrari boss Luca Demontezemolo with Nikki Lauda, as former sports a Speedmaster Mark II on an 1159 bracelet.
Classic.

How about this: James Hunt and Mike Hailwood share a moment, as the latter sports his custom Heuer Autavia gifted to him by Jack Heuer himself.

Jeah, Enicar was a player in the beginning and mid sixties in Formular one. Besides Jim Clark ( I wrote on that topic here: https://enicar101.com/2021/11/19/the-correct-reference-of-jim-clarks-sherpa-graph/ ) I also have seen Phil Hill, Innes Ireland and Gerhard Mitter wearing a Sherpa Graph:

Phil Hill:

Innes Ireland:

Gerhard Mitter:
