Well, perhaps you chose the wrong option somewhere since dial variants are fairly subtle for a beginner, but it does not appear to have the correct dial for a -71, and the purchase date makes it very unlikely. The reference number would be inside the caseback, and I would bet that it doesn't say 145.022-71. Probably just 145.022. I had originally assumed that you had read the reference from the case-back.

Also, the serial number would be on the movement not the case. I'm quite skeptical that it doesn't have a serial number.

Perhaps I'll pop the back off later to see

Replacement hands are superL or tritium ?

Don't know but doing a swap back to original will keep the patina even

Why did you switch them, did you need functional lume on the hands?

Love these stories....throw forward 20 years and there will be some surprised relatives discovering what OF members have stashed in their sock drawers.

I didn't ... Omega decided to swap them as they normally do.

do not send to Omega, they will most likely remove all vintage charm. The watchmaker can polish the crystal further (if need be) and correctly install the bezel. There is no need to do anything to that case, it is crisp/sharp/beautiful. Once you understand this, you will be thankful. Repeat after me 100x : I will not polish / ‘restore’ that case ever...

I guess you didn’t read this. The ‘spiffy up’ definately reduced the watch some (especially if you are looking to get it sold…most collectors would not like it like that…). What’s done can’t be undone, as long as you are happy 👍

That's what I'm happy about, they didn't bring it back to "new" just took away some of the bigger dings ... But these will never be sold while I'm alive lol

The case has clearly been softened a bit, but the OP did his due diligence and made his choice. Like you, I loved the original razor sharp case, but I suspect this is an acquired taste.

Please don’t take the Rolex’s to Rolex. Unlike Omega, the parts that get replaced are not returned to you. You’ll be left with service bezels, dials, and hands- essentially brand new looking watches.
