I don't usually pay that much attention to the back of the case, this one that I saw on ad ad while scrolling through a different site really got my attention.

Here my (filthy) caseback :whipped:.

Ignoring the shoddy presentation, mine seems mis-aligned. This irks me.

1. Can I simply remove and reposition the caseback before re-tightening to ensure the omega logo aligns in the 12 o'clock position?
2. If so, can anyone recomend a decent caseback removal tool?
3. Will the water resistance be comprimised if I remove the caseback myself?

Thanks

I love the 75th Anniversary caseback but I think this is my all-time favorite (logo design wise, not necessarily the writing):

As I understand it from previous posts about alignment the threads of your watch and the caseback you have this is the result, other people will have a better of worse alignment on their Seamaster 75th

Those are cool. I am also partial to the First Omega in Space caseback:

I know that people complain it is uncomfortable on the wrist, but I've never noticed anything different from standard casebacks.

Agree, I love it. I wish I could buy one separately to put on my black one since I’m not drawn to the summer blue enough to buy it.

Yep, it's a beauty, one of the bits of the FOIS I really love.

It doesn't bother me but now that my partner has discovered and started borrowing it I put a small circle of 3M detailing tape overtop and this makes it more comfy for her.

Find it odd that Omega didn’t employ their Naiad locking system for these commemorative casebacks.

For the seriously nerdy:

Yes, that is very nerdy for multiple reasons.

Now I'm wishing I had made note of what model Seamaster this lovely caseback comes from - can anybody help me with that?
