To be completely honest the sub ND is the perfect dive watch IMO. I've owned two black bays and there were things I wish each had... Never realizing the Sub ND was actually it. I prefer the glossy ceramic bezel and dial, the deep coin edge bezel, the crown guards, to name a few. I usually hate watches with date functions actually because they always look a little off. Even the ones that try to blend in like the Planet Ocean or seamasters I've owned are never quite right. I do like the cyclops on the subs. I think it mixes a classic vintage 1950's appeal to a still modern yet classic design. I would own a sub date, I think the cyclops makes it a little more interesting. Overall, I don't think there's a diver done much better then a no date submariner. Simple, clean. minimalistic and never wrong 馃榾
My two cents...
Why not keep the perfect diver and seek a GMT which you can get on a black bezel if the colours turn you off. Again I'd go for a 16710 rather than a ceramic. Here's mine, and my 1675

Oh I'm not planning to sell my sub. This one's a keeper (for now馃槈
Yes, I actually love that GMT a lot. The font and bezel is not as busy as the newer ceramic version. Great color and size. Something to work towards.

Bush senior said " no more taxes"
junior said " mission accomplished "
Clinton said" I didn't have sex with that woman"
Obama said... Something
Trump said everything and anything
And Mrs Clinton said she didn't send anything classified

And you said " I'm not selling this one, it's a keeper"
It all seems so familiar

I personally like the appearance of the no-date better. The only dates I have thought looked pretty good were the ones w/out the cyclops.

I do not own any Rolexes, so this is based purely on my opinion of the looks.

There is no "sub-no-date" ... There is just the "sub" and then there is the "sub-date".

To be honest, I am starting to find my ceramic Sub (114060) a little too glossy, perhaps slightly too flashy for a tool watch, in as much as it's a tool watch for me as I am no diver. I am wearing it less and less both in and away from the office. I have been thinking of giving it up for the 14060m, a sort of back to the future move. Just a thought that's been niggling at me for the last year or so. 馃憥

Ps. I might go and put it back on the black Everest strap for a while and see if that doesn't tones it down for me.

DavidSW has a 14060m NOS available right now... I was thinking of grabbing it, but ultimately like the maxi dial and indices better so went ceramic instead.

Yep, that helps. I really don't know why I didn't do that change months ago. What do they say, a change is as good as a holiday...?
