I can mix in a beater or two... Just to shake things up. Then again this watch changes colors and looks different any any given moment. I'm pretty sure it's alive...

What a awesome piece. I was really close to buy a green one. But bought something instead.

You shoulda got Globemaster. 😜
I decided on something that suited me a bit better. I love looking at the ZBlue milgauss, but found something else I love to wear even more...
The Milly has been put up for sale.

Jesús man. You can never settle. Both are pretty iconic and balanced. The no date is traditionally the more simple and rugged. The Steve McQueen. The date has a little more presence and therefore demands more attention. It's dressier.

I chose the no date for its perfect symmetry and simplicity. I may get a date but most likely not a ceramic but rather a classic aluminum bezel with the slimmer profile.

I do have 2 gmt and love them and they're both date dial watches so it's not that the cyclops or date bother me. I just wanted the most simple classic (5512) and it's modern counterpart (14060m)

Now, since yours is a peculiar sickness try on an explorer 1. That's the non sub simple rugged Rolex of choice and may also fit your current taste ( at least for the next couple of weeks)

Lol, you're hilarious Sergio.
I actually love the no date sub for its clean and simple design. I figure I'll end up with an explorerII in the future or something else that has the date eventually. I'm not much a date person, but j do think it's adds a little more 1950s character to the submariners. 😀

I personally like the appearance of the no-date better. The only dates I have thought looked pretty good were the ones w/out the cyclops.

I do not own any Rolexes, so this is based purely on my opinion of the looks.

I have the Date, simply based on the idea (I thought at the time) that I would never want to wear a no-date watch. I love my Sub as much as I did the day I bought it (I'm wearing it as I type this) ... but in the meantime I bought a SM300 MC (no date, obviously), and I can't decide whether my next watch should be a Moonwatch (don't tell Dennis!) or a no-frills Oyster Perpetual 36 with steel dial. No dates!

To be completely honest the sub ND is the perfect dive watch IMO. I've owned two black bays and there were things I wish each had... Never realizing the Sub ND was actually it. I prefer the glossy ceramic bezel and dial, the deep coin edge bezel, the crown guards, to name a few. I usually hate watches with date functions actually because they always look a little off. Even the ones that try to blend in like the Planet Ocean or seamasters I've owned are never quite right. I do like the cyclops on the subs. I think it mixes a classic vintage 1950's appeal to a still modern yet classic design. I would own a sub date, I think the cyclops makes it a little more interesting. Overall, I don't think there's a diver done much better then a no date submariner. Simple, clean. minimalistic and never wrong 😀
My two cents...
