Hello all, been a while too many other hobbies.. picked up this little GP gyromatic recently for around $380. Any thoughts on a market value of these? Stamped 7050/8679 on the case..33mm. Im thinking serviced maybe worth around $600 or so but i havent seen many in this nice of condition.

I wouldn't bother having it serviced if you plan on just flipping it.

Im weighing keeping it or not. I think itll at least be worth what i put into it and hold that value?

1) If you're going to ask for a serious valuation, provide photos of the case back and movement as well. It could be worth more or less than what you paid, depending on the overall condition.

2) There are many vintage GPs circulating in the market at any given time, and due to economic issues, the vintage watch market is facing downward pressure. So something uncommon and/or in exceptional condition are the ones to target, if the goal is to turn a profit.

Nothing special that i can see on the business end but ill get some pics later. Caseback is plain. Movement is clean.

I bought this a few years back and occasionally have a look on eBay and Chrono24 to find out if the prices have moved.

I think I paid around £300 but have since had it serviced. I reckon it’s somewhere between £300 - £450/500.

I’ve always thought it had a very pretty movement

I have a GP gyromatic that has a peculiar dial w/o the word "Gyromatic" and a bizarre GP logo and the absence of the word "SWISS" below 6. I suspect it's the victim of a re-dial, but wanted another opinion. Quite a bummer given the fact it has a GP JB Champion bracelet and a rather attractive dial layout.

Yes, I think it's a redial but a nice watch anyway, with its cool bracelet.

Agreed. Ugh. $650 is too much for a re-dial.

Unfortunately, at this moment, the market does not like under 35mm.
34mm. is borderline; 33 or less are penalised

33-35mm is a great size that many discount w/o ever having worn them. Good for us who don't mind.
