I’m selling this GP HF chronometer from 1968.

CASE: 37,5mm excluding crown, gently polished in the past but still with sharp edges, the radial brushed finish is visible. The original GP crown has a spot where the superficial part is missing (please see pics).
The bracelet shown is not original GP.

DIAL and HANDS: original silver dial with vertical brushed finish, has some light patina visible only on certain angles and on the outer ring.

MOVEMENT: high frequency 42.1 series movement, it is marked “36000 a/h 421797” and “Girard-Perregaux 39 thirtynine jewels gyromatic swiss” on the rotor.
Service history unknown, the seconds hand sweeps super smoothly as expected and it keeps accurate time.

I'm asking 600€ (was 680) plus shipping, the watch is located in Italy, here are my references on OF:

Hey Bill, sorry for the late reply, it doesn't have the inner iron ring, only the movement holder.

Out of interest, do these even have an iron shield? They're not anti-mag, are they? Hi-beat, yes, but not anti-mag. Mine doesn't have one either.... N.

The ad mentions “a vault of stainless steel reinforced with a shield of iron”.

I think what you have here is a steel case, then a rubber gasket (not as thick as a Certina DS), then an iron inner case. I don’t think this model has an inner dust cover though.

Have a bump on me.
