Thankfully Calibre 8500 really is quite a difficult thing for anyone to make an ETA look like with its rather unique layout, twin barrels and balance. As RJ suggested the displayback on each Omega really is a handy anti-counterfeiting measure in its own right.

If I wasn't so damn busy with my life and my other hobbies, I'd love to put together a good "how to spot a counterfeit Omega website", and commit to keeping it absolutely up to date with the latest junk coming out of China. High res side-by-side imagery, point by point comparisons, you name it - and just be relentless about it, to make the counterfeiters life that much harder, that would be fun.

I've seen the various "how to spot a fake" articles or youtube vids in the past, out of shits/giggles I just searched "how to spot a counterfeit Omega" and the results are as expected, poorly done youtube videos, articles several years old and not really relevant to the problems today. Ebay has an interesting article dated May 2014, that is high on the search results, and mostly useless:

edit: just so I don't offend anyone, general disclaimer, if you have put information out there on spotting counterfeits, I'm not talking about you 😁 I'm also only thinking about modern watches... spotting fake or franken vintage is beyond my salary grade.

I believe the latest version of replica PO's actually uses a dressed up version of the Miyota 8215 which is actually quite convincing, down to the double barrel, but surely lacks the hour adjust feature of the 8500 and is low beat. Congrats on the pick up.
