Got me a Speedy 105 tropical

Its been awhile since my last Omega purchase and this 1966 Speedy 105.012 was offered to me yesterday by my watch maker. Aside from the beautiful tropical dial, the dot over 90 bezel is in very good condition and sports a nice brownish patina. The CB case seems to have been polished but the facet on the inner lugs remain intact and untouched. Definitely a great addition to my watch collection.

No, as far as I know, the HF cases are less common.

CB is an unusual case are far as Speedmaster cases go in general, but for a -66 they’re more common than HF.

That dial is stunning. Congrats

CB cases only exist on -66s. HF are almost every other reference of this period. Thats the nuanced distinction not made clear in this thread. As such id say its quite uncommon to see a nice -66CB. Congratulations.

Very nice @erpin9 . Interesting that the brown tones on yours and mine (145.012) are more caramel and ombré toned than the 145.022-69 dark chocolate dials.
