This is a thing you talk/discuss with your closest friends and family. You don't blurt it all over the internet seeking sympathy and attention from people you hardly know.
Well he has been a member always free with humor and the information. I know I learned from him here. I don’t know why he is leaving personally but I respect his choice as there could be a myriad of reasons. Just disappearing would not exactly be fair to the acquaintances he has here and would not give him the closure he’s looking for.
He’s not asking for sympathy he is saying goodbye.

It won't undo damage done, but time will certainly be healer. I am sure many of us will be more than happy to welcome you back when the right time has come. And if it doesn't, we will have to live without your humorous contributions. Take care!
