This is my first Longines purchase. I am an admirer of the brand but never owned one until now. I bought it in 14 karat yellow gold. What stood out most to me was the gold arabic numerals. I have looked through eBay and chrono 24 and have not seen a solid gold watch with these types of numerals. I figure I would put up some pictures and hope one of you more expert collectors could shed some light on this particular watch, or point me in the right direction of how to do some proper research on the brand. I have sent in a request for an extract already but my guess is that will take some time.

Cool watch. I like the two-tone dial with Arabic numerals, as well. This watch was for the American market, as per the "LXW" import mark and the American-made Star case. As such, there is no Longines reference number associated with the case design. Based on the serial number, the watch was probably invoiced around 1959. The caliber 23Z is a nice movement that was used in many American-market models.
