Sold

I'm selling the Seamaster Automatic Calendar that I picked up recently at a local jeweler.

It comes with everything pictured, including the red Omega box and two-tone beads of rice bracelet. Jeweler said it was serviced, and it seems to be keeping good time. The quick-set date function also works fine.

It has case back reference 2849-2 and serial number 14889559 (which I believe dates it to 1955).

Gold capped case with stainless steel back is in good shape, I only noticed a slight ding in the top left lug when taking pictures (can be seen below; not very noticeable in person).

The movement is a caliber 503, however the rotor assembly has been replaced with the compatible part from a 502 movement, which can be seen in pictures. (You can also see the discussion regarding this replacement here: http://omegaforums.net/threads/replacement-rotor-hurt-value.3361/)

Original dial looks great, with very slight patina that can only be seen at certain angles in person.

The beads of rice bracelet looks good, 14k gold filled inner links and stainless steel outer links. The folding clasp also ratchets. It measures about 6.5 inches, not including the lugs but including the clasp. There are 9 removable links.

Asking $550 obo paypalled and shipped to CONUS. Please PM me with any questions.

It's no problem to put your Ebay link in this thread, too, since've you've already got all the relevant pics+info included here. Can't hurt.

Thanks! I figured I would give it another week just here, before putting it elsewhere, but I will paste the link then.

Still also trying to determine if I should do a BIN or risk an auction starting lower...

Putting it here for $600 or best offer, before I list it this weekend on ebay under those terms... All offers will be entertained.

I need to off-load this thing so that I can feed my buying addiction! Make me an offer! (here or on ebay - just let me know you're from the forum if you do it on ebay)

I gotta chime in here. The two tone BoR bracelet alone is worth about $150 because their fairly uncommon. The box would sell for $50 minimum. Despite the watch having a franken caliber 502/3, it's still easily worth what amounts to $350.

Thanks, I really appreciate your endorsement!
