● Yes ! I want to Believe !

Riviera Paradise , Longbow, Texan Tom, Gavlin , rbob99
maxtor71 , odd boy , charliex3 , kja ,nightowl, meganfox17

● Fence Sitters ; Dunno ; Maybe

Nobelprize , superdoc, foo2rama

●Haters : None So Far...

● Are You Nuts ? : None So Far...

@meganfox17...I am pretty sure Superdoc was actually one of the first to see the Globemaster live and ordered a limited Platinum version. You should be able to find a thread sometime last year with his photos .

As is so often the case with Omega launches and their dreadful press photos, there were many "preliminary haters" who had not seen the Globemaster live. I think most, if not all, got converted to "admiration" or "fence sitter" status. Cheers

Ummm... holy cow...The platinum limited is pretty... but.. wow..that is so far out of my comfort range 😀
I am going to look at the Globe on the Blue Steel, with the idea that I may substitute a Black or Brown Croc, since the Blue strap isn't my thing. I need to put this up against the AT Skyfall.. Although I can pick up a preowned Skyfall affordable 😀

Try it on the bracelet...I was going for the strap option as well...but live....I was blown away...the bracelet really works well with the overall design of the watch.😉

That 3rd T-shirt is actually pretty good👍....would you wear your Seamaster 300MC on JB to complete the "Mission Impossible Starlet" look?😀

Although Omega has made a tourbillon, in terms of watchmaking prowess this one watch from Blancpain pretty much eclipses Omega by a wide margin in my mind. Maybe Superdoc knows of an Omega in the works that will have a perpetual calendar (with date, month, day of the week, and leap year), a moon phase indicator, a rattrapante (split second) chronograph, a minute repeater, quarter repeater, and of course a tourbillon? 😀

Tisk tisk...😉

Cheers, Al[/QUOTE]
Doesn't IWC already make something like that with the Perpetual Calendar ?

This thread has been a tiring read and a bit too much of a love fest for my taste.

The blue Globemaster on the other hand.... It is so nice in person. Very understated and elegant and absolutely gorgeous. To quote the great Wayne Campbell, "She will be mine. Oh yes, she will be mine."
I swear the OB is going to call the police on me if I keep going in and trying it on. The Chinese manager gentleman went from saying hi to giving me a look out of the corner of his eye when I walk in.

The blue Glomaster is a beauty. I was amongst the 1st to see and wear it and I must say I was not a supporter when Insaw the pics. But when I saw and touch it, a totally different story. The platinium is a beauty. And 2016 Baselworld will for sure see new versions coming....

The only Globemaster versions I was disappointed with were the white dials with the gold two tone case and full gold case, both with brown leather straps.

Both looked boring and I still can´t understand how the full gold case version costs so much more than a Tresor (which I think looks much nicer as a gold watch..though I am biased of course😀)...I think both white dial Globemaster versions will be available in the grey market in significant no. and heavily discounted in the near future.

I have not yet seen the blue dial with two tone bracelet live or on video to see determine whether it is too blingy or a discreet stunner....the pictures I have seen so far seem quite positive....but I am not 100% sure. Would be interested to hear opinions from any forum members who might have had some wrist time with this specific version and how it compares with the Blue Dial SS bracelet. Cheers.

Hi All - here with post #2. I have had my MC for a week now. It is 6 seconds fast in that time. As others have said, the bracelet is amazing as is the blue dial. I just happen to be in Hawaii on business, walked into the Omega boutique when I wasn't looking for it, met the extremely nice staff, and could not pass up buying the MC! They had SS w/white dial, the one I bought, gold w/white dial and two tone. What I haven't seen discussed here is the MC Card you get with the watch which allows the owner to look at the METAS results for their specific watch (pic below). So I know my watch passed all of tests (obviously) but also the specific timing it encountered after each test (the 15,000 gauss test for example).

I posted a short review on another forum (not sure if I can mention the name). Just check the Omega section and the title "My Globemaster experience". I'll attempt to add some pics here.

Cheers.

Super pics @timerider27. Thanks for sharing. When you refer to the two-tone was it the two-tone with blue dial (gold bezel and two tone case)? If so what were your impressions? Cheers.

Thanks Riviera. The 2 tone was the steel and yellow gold model with the TT bracelet and silver (white) dial. I was drawn to the gold with leather but the blue dial is so nice! Really, they are all nice. I know there have been positive and negative comments concerning the bezel -- I think it is perfect in any metal. Omega really got this model right!
