The Rio Omega boutique is also run by wonderful staff who make you feel completely at home...a shot out to Renata麓s wonderful homemade chocolate cake which I have been privileged to savour during an afternoon visit!

Perhaps you could explain to this '65 digital immigrant how to upload videos to the Forum. Clearly I was born in the wrong Millennium to know how to do this....doh!

I know Monsieur Riviera Paradise would have been BLOWN AWAY even without me reading what's he's gonna say........!! Like.....absolutely POW POW ... thrilled to have seen those incredible 'realtime living' images. He must be "purring" in delight with a devilish smile on his face !
Let me get this straight...... Longbow... So You shot a video & frozed the images when the shimmering & sparkling fluted bezel became evident ! Then you converted them into still images.
Oooo......Ahhhh...Brilliant Stuff !

I dont know Longbow...i already gave out the Grammy Award for best Glb MC photographs to Maxtor 71.....!!!
I still think Max earned it because his photo images were captured in an Uncontrolled environment with a Cool looking Mercedes Benz AMG in the background ! Ha6x! ..Your photos however....uncannily captured the True Essence of the Globemaster to the awe of the folks here ...!! I must congratulate again You Sir......HIGH FIVE........

p/s Are You an English Longbow or Welsh Longbow ?
I mean You are certainly NOT Italian or Chinese because they would have chosen the Crossbow !!! Ha6x! You cannot be descendents of the Native American Red Indians either.. because You would have be called a Short Bow..!!!
Americans ...?? They even named a movie called " Broken Arrow" for crying out loud.....which had nothing to do with a Bow...but something more exciting.....like Nuclear Bombs & stuff......like....Duuhhhhh....!!! See... You Get My Drift now...??? Naaahhhh...Americans dont know how to use a Bow... because they had Archers...

Actually, the photos are just that, photos shot with my smartphone at the Globemaster launch in Hamburg. If you think the photos are nice you should see the videos, then you will understand why I think the GM is so awesome. But I'm too stupid to figure out how to upload them. Any help on that techie point would be most welcome.

P.P.S. "Best photos of BaselWorld 2016".....I wonder what that will bring? Maybe a Seamaster 300 Date or a Globemaster II with screw-down crown and a case-back that screws down without those 4 side screws. Yes, I know, they are there because of the need to orientate the Observatory inlay in the rear Saphire glass...nevertheless the screws look odd.

You willllll seeeee a couple of wooorrrrdddddssssss..arranged in a grid. The 1st line says Refresh.The 2nd says Reply.

Hey Longbow..! Don't Get Excited ....!
Now look down to the lower left hand corner.
Can You see a small icon like a twin peak mountain ? The icon beside it is a picture of a paperclip right ?
Press the twin peak mountain icon....not the paperclip icon !!!
A small screen will appear asking you to choose something from A ) Gallery B ) Camera image Photo C ) Video image

Sounds Weird but just press A the Gallery to locate the Globemaster video. Press again & video starts downloading from 0% ------->> 100 %.... like ...Duuuuhhhhh......!!! ( You can do a trial practice with another very short video of yourself if you must to gain confidance...)
Once task completed....
Looooookkkkkk... agaaiinnnnn... sloooowly ....to the upper right corner. You will see a Broken Tip of an Arrow icon pointing to the Right.. now Say a Prayer to the Gods....then Say .."GOD SAVE THE QUEEN !" ..then press... the.arrow tip icon ... You are now Good To Go.. ..& Show Your Video to the Good People in the Forum & around the world !!!
I am soooooo..... excited !!!
On behalf of All of Us here..Thank You So Much Sir for Sharing ...& i believe after watching... the video......more Omega & non Omega fans would be tempted to add the Blue Connie MC to their collection ...!!!!

Ah, I think Omega managed that all on their own; my video is just a little sign-post. Ruffled Rollies? Well at least the DJII doesn't rely on image enhancement by adding a Mercedes Benz logo to the hour hand like the other Rollover models. Good job they didn't use a VW logo. Can't wait to see a Sub with a Kia logo.

Ups, sorry! In my defense the Rolex models that command the big bucks on the second hand market (Daytona, Steve McQueen Explorer II, MilSub) do not use the MB Logo thing. I guess it's just a matter of personal taste and since I was raised on straight hands that's what I find easiest to read. Had Rolex issued the new Explorer II with a 1655 style hour hand I guess the white dial version would have been my next watch. Legibility is important and IMHO many Rolex sports watches seem to have sacrificed this in favour of well, let's call it "presence". The Sub that I recently tried looked cluttered. When I took another look at the (rather poor) photo I made I noticed that I could more easily read my out of focus Speedmaster in the background than the Sub in the foreground. I suppose I should sit down and write a thread on what it is I'm actually looking for in my perfect watch. My watch collection is the by-product of my odyssey to find the right "one". I'm still searching.
