What do you believe will happen to these Limited Edition Tokyo 2020 now that we know that the Olympics have been canceled?

Do you like these watches in the first place?
Will they be more sought after?

No connection to the moon, but back to the original stop watch use, does it matter?

What are the chances there will be another edition for the games if they take place?

I would love to hear your opinion on these.

I happen to like the classical look of the panda dial, the color combination of the green and Sedna, and the textured dial of the red bezel gray dial.

The panda seems to get some love and demand. What are your thoughts?

As of now, the Tokyo Olympics are not cancelled, but postponed to 2021.
I think the watches that have already been sold will not be affected.

Do you believe this will make them more desirable?

Thank you.
Sorry, I did not do my research.
I will try to close this thread and join the other one.
Nice branding 👍

Ok to leave it. Don’t worry about another thread or two.

Even if the Tokyo Olympics are postponed to 2021, I don't think the 'TOKYO 2020 Limited Edition' will change its reputation.
I think it will change if 'TOKYO 2021 Limited Edition' is released.

It will have little, to no , effect on their desirability or prices in the long term. It will just be a blip on the radar in a couple of years.

I am biased - but I do love the Tokyo LE's - the black and green ones are quite stunning in person, and the red one is for me the most attractive Speedy available.

I think they look great but the whole 2020 thing is probably not going to be high demand, it’s not a year worth commentating.

1 of them will be worth crazy money. 2 will do fine. 1 ok and 1 no one will care about.

I've always been partial to the red one. I wish I had any connection to Tokyo and I'd buy it, but I really don't have any connection so I'd feel like a poseur

The old and common adage about watches, don't buy what others like but buy and wear what YOU like, so wolfe44 I wouldn't worry about perhaps feeling or looking like a poseur, if you like it and it makes you happy - buy and wear it with pride.

Every time I see this I laugh. This does not happen. Crazy people.
OK, stop now. It does happen, to me and I have provided clear evidence of it. Whether or not it will happen to anyone else I cannot comment on. Each time you state this it calls into question my honesty which I strongly object to.

I suppose it depends on a number of factors - for me however, my Rising Sun and my FOIS both have logo's on the case backs and neither leave any marks on my wrist even after a full day's wear and even if worn whilst working out in the gym or on hot days.

I associate pain with Japan so I would wear them....

Which one do you think will be the most valuable? I'm not a fan of the yellow or green, the others are beautiful.
