This watch is now SOLD.

I’ve only just properly introduced this on the forum, but the next watch is calling, so it’s up for sale or trade.

This is a black dialed 1955 cal 500 Seamaster Automatic that I firmly believe to be all original. The dial has some corrosion and patina, but is not bad for its age. As one of the more knowledgeable forum members pointed out to me, the 8 o’clock marker has been replaced at some point and is slightly longer than the rest. I honestly never noticed it on the wrist. The back is of the simple, early snap-on kind and it has been polished, so that the ‘Seamaster’ and ‘Waterproof’ texts are difficult to see. The Cal 500 is in good shape and timekeeping is excellent, but service history is unknown. UPDATE: I had my watch guy check this over and he said the movement is in good condition - no service needed. The watch comes on the as-new genuine croc strap with generic buckle.

Trade wise I’m happy to consider anything (Since placing the ad I've bought the SMP I was after initially).

I’m happy to answer any questions by PM. I’m a newbie on the forum, but I have good refs with the same user name on three international watch forums on request.

I’m asking a reduced SOLD 350 EUR SOLD(was 575) (net to me, PP preferred), which includes shipping within Europe. Other destinations please pm me to discuss.

In response to a PM: the cal. 285 in the pictures is not for sale right now. I'll take this opportunity to say I will entertain offers for the cal. 500. I've also added better pics to the original ad.

I bought an SMP, so with that removed from my want list I'm happy to consider any trade offers!

I seem to be way out on pricing, so a big reduction to 375 EUR delivered, or a trade.
