Found an Omega watch

Can you show us the clasp and full bracelet?

I'm at this point assuming that something went wrong with the bracelet - maybe the spring bar in the clasp gave way which made the bracelet come apart.

This would give credence to the found while skiing story

Watch looks genuine but the bracelet looks like non genuine, maybe someone is paying the price for buying a cheap bracelet 馃檨

Short of the local police department having a report or Omega having records of the owner, there is nothing you can do.

I would not pass that watch to anyone at this point unless you hear from omega or see a police report within 48 hours (or earlier) of when you found it.

I'll take it off your hands when you just agree this was a ploy to skirt the selling rules. 馃榾

Why is the OP not getting the benefit of the doubt?

Totally agree.
The person who lost the watch could be a member on here, if the OP thinks b*ger this, then it could be lost forever

Yes. It's not so unbelievable that the OP was skiing as long as he could, leaving only enough time to get to the bus station and not to take it to the security office or police station etc. Should he have left it in the snow?

So you want me to buy the following story:

OP was skiing in Italy and "didn't even know the brand Omega" <--- direct quote there guys

Then just happened to find an Omega watch lying there on the slope. Having never heard of the brand they scoop it up

Then they are so late in order to to catch the bus they couldn't return to the resort (which, can I assume, is at the base of the mountain?) Did they change out of of their ski clothes or did they ski right to the Depot and into the bus with all their equipment still on?!?

Then they discover that "for sure the watch isn't fake." mere days? hours? after hearing of Omega for the first time!

Then instead of just mailing it to the the resort, police, Omega or WHATEVER, they post vague and cryptic messages here and then WHAMMO! produce an Italian market albino Speedmaster!

Well played @ulackfocus or whoever you are!

Seriously fella, you need to take a deep breath before you have a heart attack!

Why are you being so passionate about what someone has written on the internet. Don't like, move on and read something else.... who really cares if it's true or made up?

If you don't believe me don't react, I don't care about your opinion. I contacted the ski resort and they didn鈥檛 have a report for a missing watch. Also omega haven't responded yet. Here are the pictures you asked for.

The article makes a good point. Chances are if I lost something I'd probably never even think to ask the local police station. So chances are you'll get to keep it anyway.

Chances are whoever lost it may not have noticed it off of his wrists until later and have no clue where it could be. If he's a smart luxury watch owner he will have insurance in case he lost it anyway.
