May I ask two things :

* What is the purpose of the horns since they are that short and don't reach the case ?

* People who wear this bracelet with a speedy, doesn't it look small regarding the case ?

I'm just asking, not making any jugdment !

No purpose, just two styles. And originally they were 19mm at the lug and short there too for a Speedmaster.

Astronauts nerded out so we nerd out, Comfortable to wear, too.

Don't over analyze this.😁

Now where'd I put my pocket-protector?

Thanks ! And regarding the ends, the original one were straight, right?

Ordered on Friday arrived last night.
New Forstner on the bottom old Sears Tradition (JB) on top. New one is visibley larger. On the watch, the ends fit the watch better both physically and aesthetically. There is no difference in the band width (16mm).

The band looks great! Thanks everyone for the pictures. If you are putting on a Speedmaster pro do you use the bracelet springbars? Or the shorter ones for the NATO? Any reason to use one over the other?

Usually the spring bars for steel bracelets are the slightly shorter ones and those for leather straps (also Natos) are the longer ones. (Both intended for the same lug width, e.g. 20 mm)

With straps, it is normally no problem to place one pin of the springbar inside one hole and squeeze the strap together to place the other pin inside the other hole. The longer springbar also give some extra strength, when used with straps.

In case of bracelets and their metal end links, the springbar must be able to be compressed so far that both pins fit at the same time between the lugs, since the end pieces can not usually be installed at an angle.

For the Forstner strap they should both work, since the end link is spring loaded can be squeezed together.
(The longer ones may be a bit more robust.)

And here it is on my FOIS, I used the springbars that came on the watch
It really looks good on the straight lugs.

thanks, I like it so far. I probably should have gone for the "long" version, it's a bit tight putting it on over my fat fist, but at the end of the day that's a first world problem. I really like it vs. the leather band the watch came with.

I find them difficult to use. The clasp seems hard to attach and even harder for me to release, I’ll see if I can get used to it with time. OTOH the bracelets are very comfortable.

Try pressing the bottom of the clasp up with your thumb with a little pressure while using your index finger on the clasp button. It helps alot when putting on and taking off .

Sorry to chime in here, but don’t forget about the instructional videos on the site. The clasp should be very easy to remove with only small pressure downward on the button (as per the instructional video).
